Using siRNA screens and live cell imaging, I am investigating how changes in the host signaling network upon infection with Shigella flexneri control inflammation in epithelial cells.
Specific Contribution to Research in BattleX
The group will run a central infection platform at the Biozentrum Basel. This platform will provide all experimental material to the other partners. This group has been running such a platform for several years and will use highly standardized protocols defined in standard operating procedures (SOPs) and defined biological and chemical materials to ensure maximal reproducibility.
